Locally-Minded
Barn Again Beef got its serious start in 2007, when we started raising Black Angus feeder cattle for freezer beef. Our goal has always been to use this business to connect with the local community, providing a local, nutritional option for our neighbors to feed their families.
Thoughtfully-Raised Cattle
Due to the growth of our freezer beef business, in 2012, we started our own Black Angus beef cow herd. Our own herd will compliment the top quality calves that we buy from local Angus beef producers.
We strive for well cared for animals that are hormone free and provide them with a nutritionally balanced feed ration. Combining the Black Angus breed with our feed ration of corn, distiller’s grains and hay along with a vitamin/mineral mix has produced an excellent quality beef that is nutritional and tastes great.
We also feel by using local family owned meat lockers that are USDA approved, you can feel confident that your beef is cut to your specifications with a personal touch. We like to use clean, well managed meat lockers that package your beef and are customer friendly.

Additionally, our prices have been very comparable to the prices in chain stores. Most of our beef is high choice to prime grade, which creates excellent quality at a great price.
**We have our State of Illinois meat and poultry license to sell meat out of our freezers.
The Next Chapter: Barn Again Meats
To meet our ever increasing requests for Grass-fed beef, as well as requests for pork and other meats, we have decided to add to our menu.
Our mission is always to offer a top quality product, customer satisfaction and well cared for animals. We hope to stay true to this mission by complementing our hormone-free lightly grain fed Black Angus beef.
By partnering with farmers in IL and MO, we can now offer grass-fed beef and bison, heritage pork, free-range chickens and wild-caught seafood.
